How do I save a Rhythmiq Project?
In Rhythmiq, the Project and Files management is quite simple and flexible. To save a Rhythmiq Project just,
- Open the File Menu, by clicking the Folder icon
- Click Save Project
- Done! :)
So simple! This action will create a new entry in the Content Browser, under the User tab.
Great! But, what if I want to transfer my Rhythmiq project to another computer?
If you want to transfer a Rhythmiq project to another computer, here’s how you should do it.
Once your project is ready,
- Open the File Menu (click the Folder icon)
- Click Collect All and Save
This option will gather all required audio files in Rhythmiq’s User Library and a new entry will appear in the User tab.
- Select the new entry and from the Context Menu, click Show in Finder
This will reveal the project location in your system.
-
Copy the relevant project and its data folder (they should have the same name)
-
Transfer both of them in the relevant system location of the new system:
macOS: ~/Documents/Accusonus/Rhythmiq/Projects
Windows: \Documents\Accusonus\Rhythmiq\Projects
-
Your project is now available in the new system.
What if I want to transfer a DAW session/project, which includes Rhythmiq?
Collect All and Save is an option to gather the audio data of the Rhythiq Project. This option will make the Rhythmiq projects portable, so you can transfer them from one computer to another.
This action is not related with the DAW project/session and will not affect any data in your DAW project/session. However, if you want to transfer a DAW project/session, which includes Rhythmiq, then:
- Click Collect All and Save in your Rhythmiq Project
- Save your DAW session/project
Ableton Live 10 (Example) Logic Pro X (Example)
-
Transfer both DAW session/project and Rhythmiq Project to the new computer
-
Store the Rhythmiq Project in the locations mentioned above
macOS: ~/Documents/Accusonus/Rhythmiq/Projects
Windows: \Documents\Accusonus\Rhythmiq\Projects
-
Open the DAW session/project and go to Rhythmiq’s User Library to open your project
-
Now, you should be able to continue your work in the new system!
