You can download Beatformer from this link.
Locate the zipped file you have just downloaded
It's named Beatformer_(version).tar.gz
The most common locations where you will find it are the Downloads folder, your custom set Downloads folder or the Desktop.
You can check your web browser to see where it saves downloaded files.
If you have difficulties locating the download, try to open it directly from your browser immediately after it finishes downloading.
Tip: In Google Chrome you can use ⌘+Shift+J to show the Downloads window

Extract the zipped file
You can use the default MacOS extract feature or your favorite decompression utility (eg. 7-zip, RAR)
Double-click the zipped file and another file will appear in the same location.
Double-click the .pkg file that just appeared to start the installation process.
If MacOS asks if you are sure you want to open this file (which was downloaded from the internet), click Open to proceed with the installation.

In this screen you can read or print the license agreement.
Click Continue afterwards, and a roll-down window will appear,
click Agree to continue
In this screen you can select to install everything or to skip some items that you don't need.
For example, if you don't have Pro Tools installed, it is safe to un-tick the AAX option.
Usage analytics are anonymous and help us make your experience with our products better with every release.
When you are ready click Continue
Unless you use a custom location for all your plug-ins, it is strongly recommended to leave this at the default MacOS system location for plug-ins and just click Install
Enter your Mac password here and click Install Software
Tip: If you don't have an administrator password or someone else is managing the computer,
they will have to enter their password in order for the installation to proceed.
Click Close to exit.
..But not there yet
As you may know Beatformer is a plug-in effect, so after installation there is no way to run it directly.
Instead you will need a hosting application that supports the VST or Audio Unit or AAX format in order to use Beatformer.
