If you opened an ERA plug-in in Audacity and it caused unwanted clicking sounds during playback or rendering, it is very likely that you have enabled the Audio Unit format of the plug-in, which is unfortunately incompatible with Audacity.
Is there any workaround for this?
Yes! Open Audacity’s Plugin Manager, locate and disable the AudioUnit format of the plugin.
1. The path you are looking for looks like:
Accu/aufx/Nrem/accusonus: ERA Noise Remover
Disable that one by selecting it, and then pressing disable.
2. Then try enabling the VST format, which is installed in:
/Library/Audio/Plugins/VST/ERA_NoiseRemover.vst;0
To do that, select it and press enable.
Could you please remind me how to open Audacity’s Plugin Manager?
If you have any query about the instantiation process in Audacity, please consult the How to open ERA Bundle plug-ins in Audacity article.
